I was born and raised in Westchester, NY where I continued to live for over 41 years. There I was blessed to meet my husband and give birth to our 3 precious children. After a short stint living on an island north of Seattle called Whidbey Island, we moved to Dayton, OH in July 2014. We moved to the area for my husband's position as Lead Pastor at Centerville Community Church. We really have enjoyed living in the Dayton area and think it a great place to work and raise a family. I have a Master Degree in Education and I am an AFAA Certified Fitness Instructor. My indoor cycle certification is with Keiser.
I love teaching cycling, because all fitness levels can meet in one class and be challenged appropriately according to their fitness levels by adding speed and/or resistance to create more of a challenge. I am passionate about teaching fitness and helping others achieve their goals. Some of the classes I teach include cycling, strength training/conditioning, yoga, pilates, core training, and power pump. I have been a sports enthusiast and athlete starting at the young age of 4 on the youth soccer field. I have played tennis competitively on several ladies USTA 4.0 teams and 8.0 mixed doubles leagues. From there my love of fitness and sports blossomed. I have coached various sports teams including USTA 18U and 10U tennis, soccer, and running. I have competed in numerous races over the years including the NY Marathon and Ragnar Relays. I enjoy group fitness, semi-private/small group training as well as personally training clients. I am looking forward to making some tennis connections here in Dayton.
I'm not exaggerating when I say I love my job; I wake up every day excited to teach. I can't think of a better profession to be in. You will love my classes because I am full of energy, outgoing, knowledgeable of exercise physiology and the key fundamentals that go into being a good teacher. As an exercise instructor and enthusiast, I care deeply for people beyond there physical fitness. I care about their social, emotional, and spiritual well being. I love seeing people make their fitness goals and reach conquer them. Making a commitment to fitness is one of the best investments you can make! I enjoy incorporating upbeat music in my classes, because I think it is a great motivator. You will work super hard, but have a crazy fun at the same time! An hour is gone before you know it! Think Fun, think fitness, think fantastic, think Ford.
